Lisa Asp has been making photographic art since 1995 but became a Certified Professional Photographer in 2010. In 2011 she decided that pet photography was what she really wanted to specialize in, and she hasn’t looked back. Listen as she shares her story, what she’s doing to help rescues in her area, and what makes the Animal Image Makers Conference the best in the industry.
Prior to specializing in pet photography, Lisa was truly a jack-of-all-trades photographer. She loved creating artistic photographs and sharing them with her clients. But she has always had a special place in her heart for animals. She started donating her time to professionally photograph pets at animal shelters and rescues and became instrumental in helping those animals find forever homes.
Little known fact, professionally photographed animals are significantly more likely to be adopted.
One of the other things Lisa loves is community and helping others in their own photography journeys. Which is how the Animal Image Makers Conference came to be. They started it in 2019 and almost sold out all of the tickets.
They have international speakers come in to share their knowledge and expertise, but most importantly of all, they’ve truly created a community for pet photographers to call home.
If you’ve been considering pet photography for your business, you will not want to miss out on all of the brilliant tips and tricks Lisa shares. Even if you’re NOT looking to add pet photography to your business, Lisa knows her stuff and the things she shares can be applied in so many ways.
