Elaina Janes, a portrait photographer based out of Kentucky, joins Jenn and Sybrina to share about the work-life balance she has created in her business.
Photography started as a hobby for Elaina and bloomed into a booming business over the course of 5 years, causing her to quit her full-time job on a whim. The following five years of business saw Elaina thrown into a state of struggling to keep her head above water in the face of the hustle culture.
The “dream” life that she had built ended up leaving her in a state of burnout and misery that had her looking for something to let go to give her some breathing room. And thus, she made the difficult decision to retire from wedding photography.
Reducing her workload to portraits and a 4-day work week has given her the freedom and flexibility to enjoy her business, offer amazing service, and still be able to exist outside of her business and enjoy traveling with her husband.
So what was her process, and how did she get there? Listen in to find out!
