No matter how long you’ve been in business, you know that there are days that just feel heavy. Those days are an indication that you need to stop and evaluate where those feelings are coming from. Listen in to hear my five tips for how to manage a funk.

When you’re having one of those bad days, the first thing you need to do is figure out what your non-negotiables are. What has to be done and cannot wait? Those are the only things you need to worry about.

If you have a moment to sit down and pinpoint where the funk is coming from, then do it. It may not be your funk that’s bringing you down, but if it is, try to cleanse it. For me that means writing it out and throwing it away.

If you can’t cleanse it, then it may be time to just call it a day and take a walk. Release the energy in whatever makes the most sense for you.

Now monitor the funk. Does it happen at certain times of the day? Month? Week? If it is a measurable funk, then plan your work around those bad days!
