Would your business survive if you had to take time away unexpectedly? Would the people in your life know how to manage things if for some reason you couldn’t tell them how to do it? Listen in to learn the benefits of having a business headquarters for your photography business.
God forbid anything ever happens to you that requires you stay away from your business for any amount of time unexpectedly. But things happen, so you need to be prepared.
So, what is a business headquarters?
To put it simply, a business headquarters is a hub to quickly and easily find everything you need to run your business efficiently and effectively. Your brand voice, your contracts, your systems and processes all in one place so that you can quickly find them rather than wasting time digging through emails and your Google Drive.
For my business, we use Clickup. We have an entire space dedicated to Success Beyond the Lens and additionally we have spaces for each client as well. This way, any time we hire a new contractor they can quickly and easily get the lay of the land for the business.
Even if you never plan on hiring anyone else to join you in your business, the amount of time you’ll save by knowing where all of your business assets are is insane.
Haven’t convinced you yet? Listen in to hear all the reasons you should have a business headquarters for your photography business.

[02:26] The first thing you need to consider is what project manager you are going to use to store the information needed to run your company.
[04:30] It’s also great to have someone in your company you trust to take over if you aren’t able.
[06:02] Having a CRM is important because you can automate parts of your business so take it one step further by having your headquarters in place.
[08:23] First make a running list of the systems you need to document.
[10:15] Make it simple by making screen recordings of everything you do and letting someone else write up your SOP’s.
[12:30] Do your business headquarters in bits and pieces and update it as your company evolves.
[14:20] Even if you are a solopreneur and plan on staying that way, these processes will help you.
