Hey y’all! I don’t know about you but I fully believe we are IN the busy season! What I have found when these seasons come around is that I start to let balance slide. Which almost always negatively impacts my mental health. Listen as I share my top 3 tips for checking your mental health during the busy season! 

First things first is understanding what life looks like normally. Make a list of things that typically start slipping when you get too busy. For me, I know things are going haywire when there are dishes everywhere, laundry undone, I struggle to get ready for the day, etc. 

When things start slipping, red flags go up for me, but they also go up for my close friends and family and they can call me out on it. 

Once you have that list, look at things you can delegate to others. Maybe you bring on house cleaners for the busy season, have someone do the yard, or have a meal service deliver food. You don’t have to have these things long term, but rather than deal with the busy season AND all of your normal responsibilities, instead get some help. 

You can also start delegating within your business. Bring on a VA to help with calls and getting galleries out. Have someone help you edit. 

There are so many ways to delegate bits and pieces so that not everything is landing on your shoulders alone. 

Last but certainly not least, have an accountability partner. Have someone that you can check in with to be sure that you don’t lose sight of your goals and who can ask after your mental health.
